Shorthand???

I actually wrote this some 5 years ago!!! Never published it though..but it totally validates and coincides with written grammar then and now. Have a look

LMFAO-LAUGHING MY FUCKIN ARSE OUT!
LMAO-LAUGHING MY ARSE OUT!
BTW-BY THE WAY
LOL-LAUGHING OUT LOUD!
LWKMD-LAUGH WAN KILL ME DIE!
TTYL-TALK TO YOU L8A
……only makes you wonder, perhaps a new dictionary containing these abbreviations should be released sooner than later, just for enlightenment because some people apparently do not know the meaning of these abbreviations(esp the older generation) and also, who the hell is bringing them up? Very soon abbreviations like
GN-gudnyt
GB-Good bye
GM-good morning and
GA-good afternoon
GE-Good evening
(not sure thry were used then but are currently in use)
Would take over…all it takes is a spark…someone to just begin and before u know it, it’ll catch on. But as fun as they seem or as cheeky as they might be, a situation where in schools, children told to write essays in exams already use the smaller abbreviations such as "u for you" or "b4 instead of before" either consciously or more often than not, unconsciously(and these are just a few) or even in the corporate world where secretaries, clerks or people seeking job offers when typing drafts or letters as the case may be unconsciously use such abbreviations…believe you me, if any such letters fall on my desk........So therefore,as a way of emphasizing as well as enlightening the general public and the world at large, slangs should be left as such. We should all make a conscious effort to draw the line in our written language. The note you type to a friend on your cell is not the same that you write for an official purpose. Grammar sense must be taken into account!!!
